  • Year 3

    Welcome to Year 3

This Autumn half term we will be looking at the Mediterranean with a variety of learning challenges to answer the question- ‘Why do so many people choose to go to the Mediterranean for their holidays?’

This is predominantly a human geography unit. We will study a variety of facts about Mediterranean countries including location, climate, currency, language, capital cities and population. We will also look at how these factors might influence holiday makers. As well as this, we will look at art work from Mediterranean countries focusing on the artist Leonardo Da Vinci. To finish our topic one unit of Literacy will be cross-curricular based on the book, ‘Meerkat Mail’. After studying this book about Africa we will write our own postcards but from countries in the Mediterranean instead.
